CMC Canada — Challenge Dialogue System Master Class Series 2020

The Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC-Canada) fosters excellence and integrity in the management consulting profession. The Association and its 2300+ CMC members are dedicated to advancing the profession and delivering the benefits of these efforts to the client community. CMC Canada’s vision is of a thriving and diverse profession that contributes to Canada's prosperity, with CMC recognized as the pinnacle of management consulting practice.

In the fall of 2019, the CDS Network approached CMC Canada with the idea of introducing CMCs across Canada to CDS. From these discussions a Master Class series offering was designed and developed with the view that CDS can help professional consultants, whether working internally or externally to organizations, raise and expand their competencies and skills to deliver distinctive high-value to their clients.

The intent of this CMC Master Class series is to provide CMC members (and non-members) with an opportunity to learn about and begin to apply a subset of key Challenge Dialogue elements, or “CDS Essentials”, which are of high value and also representative of CDS’ broader suite of principles, processes and tools. These CDS Essentials are referenced in relation to the 8-steps for organizing and operating a Challenge Dialogue (see the Tools section elsewhere on this website). On February 25, 2020, Keith Jones and Tom Ogaranko introduced the Master Class series in a 60 minute webinar titled: Master Class Info Session: Challenge Dialogue System — Helping you and your clients tackle complex challenges with confidence: CDS – a powerful dialogue-based consulting framework.
